Starting one
- From a worksheet with Use this price (above), or
- On the job’s Estimates box: Good, Better and Best or One price, optionally filled from a worksheet, then Start estimate, or
- Or start from a template with the roof’s squares (see Quote templates).
The estimate page
- Details: title, roof area, how labour is priced, tax, the good-until date, the main profit category and the introduction letter (blank lines make paragraphs; lines starting “1.” make a numbered list; “Hi {first name},” and your signature are added for you).
- Each option: its name, Recommended, What they get (the customer’s item list; start a line with ## for a heading like ## House Roofing or ## Advantages), the Warranty, and the priced lines (materials, labour, other) with your cost and price. Totals show your cost, profit and margin; the customer only sees the items and the price.
- Add to: materials from a worksheet or the price list, labour per square, or anything else.
- Add another option, empty or a copy.
- Proposal pages: the note under the price (“Sign by … save 5%”), recommended upgrades the customer can tick (description, price, your cost), product sheet PDFs, the cover photo and inspection photos. Save it.
- Contract: the terms for this proposal (from Settings), or your contract PDF.
See what the customer sees previews the proposal: cover, introduction, each option, the authorization page, product sheets, the warranty certificate and the terms. It prints as a proper multi-page quote.
